Gemini the Twins is an air sign and sits with the planet Mercury. In Greek Mythology, Gemini is associated with the twins Castor and Pollux, who were the offspring of Jupiter and Leda.

The painting discloses a cool variety of yellows, light greens and small clumps of intense ultramarine over a vaporous cloud of earthy, light ochre tones. Fragmented flicks and touches of vigorous brushwork make for a sense of whirling space. The delicate handling brings about a sophisticated and subtle cosmographic portrait.
