Ghanian artist Kwesi Koo Nyarkoh explores identity through body paint within african tribes. His stunning portraits are detailed, piercing and emotive. A combination of techniques, colour composition and subject matter arrests you the minute you set eyes on one of his pieces. The scale of his work drives home the connection you feel in the presence of the eyes that penetrate and takes the breath away. Arresting and demanding of attention, powerful is how i would describe the feeling i had when i first laid eyes on his work.
