Sagittarius the Archer links to fire and partners with Jupiter. A large constellation said to represent a centaur carrying a bow and arrow.

This is a light and open composition formed of thickly-encrusted and chalky impasto liberally studded with many bright stars. Rivers conveys a palpable sense of scale as this turbulent configuration of mark and colour tumbles through fractured and teeming space.
