This is an improbable painting. Nothing is what it seems, it is a puzzle to be solved. The sky is an unlikely pink which bleeds on to the waves, the cliff iis abruptly sliced, the houses sheltering from the encroaching water are misshapen and unsafe. The tips of the waves become slid as they charge forward. Yet it is also a celebration of colour and movement.
