Taurus the Bull relates to the element earth and the planet Venus. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the enchanting planet that governs love, beauty, and money.

This painting luxuriates in subtle tones of green and pink. The artist speaks of "wanting to create a feel of looking through a forest canopy at the constellations", implying a grounded view from Earth. Lyrical skeins and festoons of blue, green and pink reference lush and succulent vegetation alluding to growth and fecundity. Rivers has painted al his earth signs on a background of platinum leaf.
