Our framed giclee print is an A2 limited edition (24) of an original jacquard weavers point paper. The original was commisioned in 1936. Textile artist J. Plaitan created the technical point paper (misse en carte) used by technicians at the French weaver, Felix Vanoutryve who had several factories in and around Roubaix, NE France. The art has technical notes on the foot of the point paper that shows the co-ordinates in the fabric for the warp stripes that created the liserie fabric. An unusual piece of Art from textile history.
