Rain Gathering to Start Again is a rich, atmospheric painting that captures the shifting drama of the northern moorland, where heavy showers give way to fleeting bursts of sunlight breaking through vast, billowing clouds. There is a wonderful sense of movement in the sky, as wind drives the clouds across the landscape and shafts of light illuminate the distant moors, drawing the eye into the vastness of the scene.

Built up with layers of oil paint, the surface is richly textured, while a flash of gold leaf illuminates the foreground, offering a fleeting glimmer of light against the darker, brooding tones. Evocative and immersive, this painting captures the ever-changing character of the moorland, where rain, wind and light continually transform the landscape.

Frame type: Solid wooden bespoke frame in a cream finish.
