Shadows sweep across the land, creating a constantly changing interplay of light and shade.
Scratched-back marks reveal layers of colour beneath the surface, suggesting pathways leading towards distant water. Delicate trails of gold leaf trace routes across the hillside, catching the light and drawing the eye into the distance.
Built up through layers of oil paint, the richly textured surface combines earthy tones, soft blues and greys with warm golden hues. The flashes of gold leaf bring moments of illumination and movement, capturing the ever-changing moods of the northern moorland.
