An original artwork from the textile design studio of Ch. Paillard of Paris, commisioned in 1938 by Jacquard weaver Bergerot & Cie of Cysonig near Roubaix.  The numbers 10003 and 4554 are the Weavers production references and technician hand written notes offer clues on the weves utilised in the resulting fabric. The 7 weft colour bars up the right hand side indicate a lampas style jacquard fabric would have resulted from the Mill technicians weave allocations. A unique artwork with an interesting history.
