The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair Returns to Manchester, Showcasing a Curated Collection of Britain's Finest Makers
Manchester's iconic Victoria Baths will once again become a hub of creativity as the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) returns from 16-19 October. This award-winning event, recognized as the North's most prestigious craft fair, will showcase a meticulously curated collection of work from over 200 of the UK's most talented artists and makers.
With a rigorous selection process, the GNCCF guarantees a showcase of truly unique and original pieces. The event offers a rare opportunity to purchase original, handcrafted work directly from the makers themselves, with everything from luxury jewellery to bespoke furniture.
This year's event promises to be a vibrant celebration of artisan craftsmanship, with over 60 first-time exhibitors joining established names. Visitors can discover a dynamic mix of talent, including exquisite woven silk scarves by Helena Powell, contemporary bespoke furniture from Nick James, and mesmerizing glass sculptures by Jade Tapson. New to the fair are emerging talents like Anisha Parmar, whose South Asian-inspired jewellery has been featured in Vogue, and Flux Textiles, a Manchester-based designer, giving vintage fashion new life through bold screen printing and embroidery.
Back for their fourth year is the Green Grads showcase, spotlighting 20 recent graduates whose innovative use of materials and techniques aims to help heal the planet. Visitors can also enjoy free pottery workshops with Stockport's Yellowhammer, plus live demonstrations throughout the weekend.
