In this workshop we’ll be looking at a still life of interesting, everyday shapes such as pots, bowls, fruit, flowers and finding ways of drawing them that is relaxing, sometimes exciting and hopefully fun.

The objective is to help you enjoy the process and to produce an image that may surprise you and make you keen to get your drawing materials out at home.

We’ll start with some quick warming up exercises to encourage you to switch off and zone into the looking and the drawing, then move onto some experimental and surprising practices.

We certainly won’t be aiming to produce a masterpiece and that’s not the intention, but you will find ways of drawing that will help you to look and draw in a fresh and lively way.
