Alison is a County Durham-based artist and printmaker whose figurative work draws on personal experiences and her upbringing in the North East of England. Through recognisable subjects, she explores the everyday lives of individuals, revealing qualities and experiences that may not be immediately apparent.

Working across etching, screen printing, relief printing, monotype and hybrid techniques, Alison combines a passion for drawing, perspective, colour and pattern with an experimental approach to printmaking.

Alongside her artistic practice, she teaches printmaking at the University of Sunderland and develops community arts projects, bringing her expertise in print, textiles and mixed media to a wide range of audiences.
