Belgin Bozsahin

Blue House Art Space Stand: 506
Belgin Bozsahin is a ceramic artist, born and raised in Istanbul, and has been based in London for nearly four decades. For the past 16 years, she has worked primarily in porcelain, creating sculptural vessels and wall pieces that explore existence, identity and the complexities of being human.

She builds her sculptural vessels by hand from fine porcelain strips, shaping them into intricate, flowing forms that fold, open, and reveal unexpected spaces. She is as interested in the spaces between the forms as in the porcelain itself, exploring the tension between inside and outside, fragility and strength. Gold leaf, enamel and lustre accentuate delicate edges and bring light into the work. Her wider practice includes richly textured abstract wall pieces and figurative body sculptures, where layers, openings and cracks become part of the story. Each piece develops through a slow, intuitive process, allowing the material and the movement of her hands to guide its evolution.

With a background in oil painting, Belgin studied at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design in Norway before completing a BA in Ceramics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education at the University of the Arts London. She has exhibited extensively across the UK, including at Collect 2026 at Somerset House with Design-Nation, the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition 2025 and London Art Fair 2025. Her work is held in private collections in the UK and internationally.
