Christine Southworth is a North of England-based artist whose work reflects a lifelong connection with the natural world and a keen observation of working-class life. Inspired by the rugged landscapes of the northern moors and the people around her, her practice is deeply rooted in the places and communities she knows.

Awarded a scholarship to Bolton College of Art at the age of 15, Christine studied Fine Art and Etching before pursuing a career in teaching, latterly as Head of Art at Bolton School.

A member of the Society of Women Artists, she has exhibited widely across England, received numerous awards and regularly exhibits at London's Mall Galleries.
