Allan Stringer was the head designer at Bradford weaver E&S Smith ltd, Stadium Mills Odsal. Bradford West Yorkshire from May 1965 until 1985. He was a talented artist and also responsiblle for taking  scaled artwork throught the fabric design process that Jacquard looms needed to form the woven patterns that he selected the thread densities, colours and composition for.
