Ewa Podles is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice merges portraiture with abstraction, exploring the depth, beauty, and complexity of the female form. Trained in glass and ceramics at the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts, she received diplomas in both glass design and painting in 2002. Now based in the UK, her work is collected internationally, spanning Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Italy, the UAE, and the UK.
Ewa’s artistic approach is deeply intuitive, drawing from classical portraiture while embracing contemporary abstraction. She seeks to capture the essence of her subjects beyond their physical form, using layered textures, intricate patterns, and expressive colour palettes. Her work balances structure and spontaneity, allowing emotion to emerge organically through each brushstroke.
