Working under the pseudonym FiftySeven Design, Steve Mitchell is a self-employed graphic designer, illustrator and printmaker based in London. His work is built from a dizzying mix of decoration and pattern, filled with a wealth of historical, religious, occult and masonic symbolism. Preferring to work with a restricted colour palette, especially favouring metallic inks, he calls the style ‘Neo-Victorian Maximalism’.

Raised and educated in the North East of England, he gained a degree in Graphic Design in 1997 and since then has worked primarily for music industry and entertainment clients.
