Janina Cebertowicz is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses drawing, painting and printmaking, exploring subjects ranging from the figure and still life to landscape and abstraction. Through contrasts of light and shade, movement and stillness, the work investigates the storytelling possibilities of familiar subjects.

Working across a variety of media, Janina experiments with colour, mark-making and expressive techniques, finding connections between seemingly diverse bodies of work.

Drawing inspiration from Britain, Polish heritage and international travel, Janina's practice has been enriched by a Manchester Academy of Fine Arts bursary to Poland and collaborations with international printmakers at Druckwerkstatt bbk Berlin.
