Manchester Academy of Fine Arts
Stand: 302
Louise Ventris is a Holmfirth-based contemporary painter whose work explores the metaphor of journeys through everyday experiences of travel and commuting. Depicting roads, vehicles and moments of gridlock, her paintings transform seemingly mundane situations into reflections on contemporary life, examining themes of capitalism, environmental impact and our relationship with the world around us.
Drawing attention to the overlooked moments of daily routines, Louise captures the tension between movement and stillness, revealing the complexities of our shared experiences.
A Fine Art graduate of Bristol, she previously worked as a digital designer in London. Her work has been exhibited widely across the North of England, including at Leeds Summer Show and Mercer Open.
