Michael Wallner

Degree Art Gallery Stand: 406

Michael Wallner is a London-based artist whose work reimagines the urban landscape through vibrant colour, precise line, and innovative use of material. Drawing on his own photography, he digitally transforms cityscapes into contemporary artworks that capture the rhythm and geometry of modern life. His portfolio spans iconic skylines from London and New York to Hong Kong, Paris, and Dubai.

Formerly a television producer with over twenty years’ experience across entertainment, documentaries, and animation, Michael brings a cinematic sensibility to his practice. Many of his works are created from aerial photographs, often taken while flying with helicopter doors open, revealing abstract patterns and perspectives hidden within the city’s architecture.

Working with materials such as brushed aluminium, reclaimed wood, copper, and neon, he explores how surface, light, and texture can enhance the visual narrative of place. Based at Wimbledon Art Studios in South London, Michael has exhibited extensively at major international fairs including the Affordable Art Fair (London, New York, Singapore, Milan), The Other Art Fair (London, New York, Los Angeles), and Art for Youth at The Mall Galleries.
