Sarah is based in the Yorkshire Dales works.  Her work is reflective of her rural home landscape. She uses  oil with mixed media such as marble dust, graphite and oil sticks, applying with spatulas,  and knives, working in layers scraping back in a sgraffito manner, striving to emulate an atmosphere which is more than representation. She often works ‘contre jour’ creating strong accents and shadows.
