Richard has always been involved in the Arts throughout his professional life but the deep interest he has for all things creative has become more intense after his retirement 15 years ago. He has always loved developing the beauty of found objects either natural and man made. This has led to the production of work of a mainly 3D variety . The main driving force behind his philosophy  has been to examine the whole concept of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. So often things are not looked at properly before being overlooked entirely or simply thrown away. There is an urgent need fo us all to look at how we can change the way we see waste material  as not just rubbish but something of beauty. If we can all do this then we might help to slow down the situation within our own planet where discarding things we simply don't want is ruining the world
