Charles Eastwood
)
For over 40 years in photography, Charles Eastwood has been exploring the unusual that exists in the ordinary. What the eye sees in a fleeting moment is not always what the mind has understood. The act of capturing that brief moment in an image reveals its inner oddness. In that passing, fragile moment, a truth is often told.
The photographer's role is to observe to see human lives and creations for what they may reveal, or at least seem to reveal, in that short encounter with the camera shutter. But the camera can also notice, in the faintest of whispers, that maybe more is being concealed than shown.
