Ron Ashtiani is a British artist and oil painter based in Newcastle upon Tyne. With a lifelong passion for art, storytelling and imagined worlds, his work explores the relationship between landscape, light, colour and atmosphere, blending observations of the natural world with influences from science fiction and fantasy.

Alongside his painting practice, Ron has built a distinguished 30-year career in the creative industries as an artist and creative director, working across film, video games and entertainment, including projects for major international franchises including Marvel and Harry Potter. His career has been recognised with industry awards, he is also a member of BAFTA.

Painting offers Ron a different kind of creative experience: a chance to slow down, become immersed in the process and explore the emotional qualities of a place. Working in oils, he creates landscapes that move between the real and the imagined, using light, colour and mood to evoke a sense of wonder, solitude and the sublime.

His work reflects a fascination with the natural world and the imaginative possibilities of landscape, inviting viewers to pause, look closer and find their own stories within the scenes he creates.
