Toms passion for creativity has never been stronger, having grown as an artist throughout his life. Tom takes inspiration from his love of colour and shape, then combining these with form and line observed from the land which surrounds him. Images are stripped down to the ‘basics’. Never without his sketchbook or camera Tom makes small studies and notes of his experiences whilst travelling, then in his studio transferring these recordings to canvas. This is what Tom's paintings convey to the viewer, a wonderful feeling of peace, warmth and sun
