Catherine originally trained at Liverpool John Moore's University graduating in the class of 1997 BA Fine Art. She went on to work in various fields over the years, still maintaining a private creative practice mainly including textiles and stitch work.
In 2007 she began retraining as a Psychotherapist and after graduating she built a thriving private practice specialising in therapy for addiction and dependency problems. In 2020 she closed the practice due to the loss of her husband. She returned to painting in 2021 and has been working full time as a contemporary artist from her garden studio in Bramhall ever since.
Her work has been exhibited in several galleries across the region including The Old Lock Up Gallery Cromford, The Tarpey Gallery in Castle Donnington and Masa UK. She had an early solo show in 2023 at a private charity fundraiser for Maggie's Manchester and Prevent Breast Cancer in Hale. Her work is owned by collectors in America, Ireland and throughout the UK.
