My work is all about emotion and the places I’ve been – I bring these moments to life through my signature use of blended and blurred colour. I mainly paint abstracts, using the landscapes around me as a starting point. With layers of oil paint and sweeping brushstrokes, my pieces often take on a dreamlike, almost ethereal quality – they sit somewhere between reality and imagination.
Alongside my paintings, I also create limited-edition prints. These usually start as photographs of a finished painting, which I then rework in Photoshop – rebalancing the composition, playing with tone and contrast – to create something new. Each print is both a nod to the original and a fresh take on the same inspiration, offering a different perspective on the same moment.
I was born in 1970 and graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1992 with a BA in Graphic Design. I had a successful career as a Creative Director running my own design consultancy before moving into painting full-time. Now, I work from my studio in London. My graphic design background definitely influences how I paint – I still think a lot about composition, colour, balance, and visual storytelling.
I regularly show my work at art fairs and gallery exhibitions in the UK and US. I’m a member of ArtCan and People of Print, and I’m represented by several independent galleries across the UK. My paintings and prints are held in private and corporate collections worldwide, and I recently completed two bespoke commissions for luxury hotels in Central London.
