I create and hand-paint Fine Art ceramic vessels and ceramic wall art. The vessels are often intimate shapes that can be gently cupped in the hands like ancient teabowls, or larger spherical forms, both pleasing to the eye and to the touch. With the wall art undulating surfaces become beautiful canvases for the paintings to ripple their way across in atmospheric scenes. A past background in painting spills over into my ceramics practice as landcsapes swirl around the curves or a tiny bird is framed by foliage. My home in the North Pennines, along with the other enigmatic wild places in which I find myself, help the inspiration to go a long way. I show and sell my work at Art Fairs throughout the UK.
