Nicky Jones 

Studio 18/19 - Manchester Craft and Design Centre 

Nicky Jones is a Manchester based artist who creates thoughtful ceramics. Working in Staffordshire stoneware she uses her design language to explore the sensuous experience of moving in water . 
Nicky’s practice is an ongoing investigation into our sense of belonging within the landscape forming a dialogue with the cold water that envelopes and transforms. 
 
Nicky minimises material and water use, practices efficient kiln management using a renewable energy supplier and reclaims and re-uses clay from unified off cuts and unsuccessful work . 
These pieces are wall hung but may be used functionally.
