Paulette Bansal

Manchester Academy of Fine Arts Stand: 302
A Manchester-based artist and printmaker, her practice explores memory, inheritance and the emotional significance of everyday objects. Inspired by an archive of her late father's belongings, she investigates the traces of personal history through processes of documentation, drawing and printmaking.

Working primarily with etching, collagraph, chine-collé and screenprinting, her work draws on ideas of cataloguing, conservation and the archive.

A member of Hot Bed Press, she has exhibited both independently and with print collectives. A residency at Artlab Contemporary Print Studios, UCLan, led to Moments in Time, a site-specific installation of 72 screenprints displayed across the empty swimming pool at Victoria Baths, Manchester.
