Michelle Leigh is a painter & printmaker working in oils, watercolour, etching & woodcut. She creates richly imaginative works weaving together myth ,memory & everyday experience. She studied Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic, graduating with First Class Honours and went on to complete a Masters at Newcastle with support from the British Academy.  She has featured in publications such as Who's Who in Art 2008 & A Colourful Canvas: Twelve Women Artists in the Northwest by @wendylevyfineart Michelle has also been recognised internationally ,including as runner up for the Ben Uri Gallery's Artist of the Year Award. Her recent solo shows include 'A Taste of Arcadia' at Salford Museum & Art Gallery 2025/6 and 'Six Objects in Search of an Artist' at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery Aug -Nov 2026.
