Gary James Williams received an MA Fine Art at the Manchester Metropolitan University (1999) and a PGCE HE FE in Art & Design at the Wolverhampton University School of Painting (2001).Through his studio-based practice, international research, residencies and collaborations, Williams enquires into the contexts and potentials of coming to terms with the everyday, the ephemeral and real-world phenomena in contemporary art practice. Williams intentionally establishes a developing proposition of the viewer and the arena of storytelling, recovering an immediacy in the world of projection and representation.
