Jude Wainwright AMAFA is an award-winning artist based in Manchester and Studio Manager at AWOL Studios. Her practice centres on surreal self-portraiture, using layered symbolism and storytelling to explore identity, memory and the performance of the self. Often drawing on historical references and personal experience, her work balances intimacy with a dreamlike sense of theatre. She has exhibited in galleries across the UK, with an upcoming solo exhibition at The Whitaker, Rossendale in spring 2026 marking her most ambitious project to date.
