Mark Leckey

Liverpool Biennial Stand: 100

Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey has an ongoing fascination with the affective power of images, music and technology, and often uses reconfigured archival footage in his work. He produced an edition echoing his work for the Biennial in 2016, ‘Dream English Kid 1964-1999 AD’, which mined archival footage and objects found online, including television shows, advertisements and music, to create a record of all the significant events of his life, from his birth until 1999. Three Letter Threnody, is an alphabetical index of logos representing companies and organisations from that era that no longer exist.
