Mike Kelly

Bury Art Museum Stand: 115
Mike is based in Rossendale, on the edge of the Pennine moors. His work is grounded in a deep engagement with landscape and across different series explores meaning, memory and the persistence of nature.

Through printing and construction techniques that often disrupt perception, the work asks what can be seen and understood, both from the traces left by previous generations and from the environment itself.

Since recent completing an MA, Mike’s work was selected for this year's British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, as well as locally for the Whitaker Open and internationally for exhibition at Wushanming Art Museum in Hangzhou, China.
