Brooke Benington
Brooke Benington is a contemporary art gallery based in Fitzrovia, London, founded in 2020 by Lily Brooke Day and George Mingozzi-Marsh. With roots in independent curatorial practice and a shared background in sculpture, the gallery brings material sensitivity and spatial awareness to a broader interdisciplinary programme.
Working with international artists across generations, the gallery champions practices that balance process, installation and material investigation with a clear conceptual focus, exploring social, historical and psychological themes. While many of the gallery’s artists are emerging in a traditional sense, the programme also celebrates those whose careers unfold outside the conventional arc, often shaped by long-term studio commitment or alternative routes to recognition.
The gallery launched with an international group exhibition in Mexico City following a self-organised residency in 2020, and has since maintained a flexible and collaborative approach, including partnerships and off-site projects in the UK and abroad. From 2017 to 2023 it ran Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer, a summer exhibition series set in a private sculpture garden in Buckinghamshire. In 2022 the gallery opened its Fitzrovia space. In 2026 Brooke Benington will begin programming in Hastings, East Sussex.
