For over 40 years in photography, Charles Eastwood has been exploring the unusual that exists in the ordinary. What the eye may have seen is not always what the mind has processed. The act (and art) of capturing a passing moment reveals its inner oddness. In this instant, a truth is often told.
The photographer's role is to observe - to see human lives and creations for what they may reveal, or at least seem to reveal, in that fleeting moment of an encounter with the camera shutter. But the camera can also notice - in the faintest of whispers - that maybe more is being concealed than shown.
