Corridor8 is a not-for-profit platform for contemporary visual arts and writing in the North and Midlands of England. We publish reviews, features, interviews and exploratory writing, and are dedicated to producing high quality content that reflects the vibrant art scenes and cultural events taking place across the regions we cover.

The Corridor8 team is determined to pay writers and editors at professional rates, whenever possible. In 2020 we introduced a new ‘supported content’ model, inviting organisations to make contributions toward writing and editing fees. We have a Substack newsletter with a paid tier to receive monthly ‘long reads’ from our editors and invited guests that explore contemporary art and writing beyond what we publish on the site. We offer subsidised advertising rates and also welcome donations to help us continue our work. As part of our growing portfolio of collaborations and special projects, part-funded by Arts Council England, Innovate UK and other funding bodies since 2016, we also invite organisations to partner with us to deliver residencies, publications and training programmes.
