Dawn Stacey has painted professionally for nearly 40 years since graduating with an MA in illustration, having previously studied Textile Design. Paintings are inspired by family or friends interacting with each other in the landscape throughout the seasons. The final piece is intended to conjure up a feeling of tranquility and mystery within nature. Acrylic paint is layered on canvas forming textural surfaces and detailed imagery often influenced by a love of antique textiles.
