An abstract and semi-abstract landscape oil painter, Emma lives and works in Surrey. Having lived in both England and Australia, Emma’s paintings are influenced by her emotions and visual memories, primarily of the natural landscapes within which she has lived and travelled. Her work depicts an abstraction and stripping back of the landscapes representational line and form, a strong use of light and depth creating an ethereal feel. Her work expresses an atmospheric ambiance.
Emma’s work has shown at a number of galleries including the Mall Galleries, London and Tarpey Gallery, Derbyshire; she has been a Finalist for the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year Awards in 2021; awarded Highly Commended in 2023, and was a winner at the 2024 awards. Emma was shortlisted for the 2023 Women in Art Prize; she appeared on SkyArts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024. She is an associate memeber of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (The Drawing Society UK).
Her work is held in private collections in Australasia, Europe and the United Kingdom
