North-West based mixed-media artist Janet Mayled trained in textile design at MMU, and spent her student years living in South Manchester. Using acrylics, dyes, pastels and other media, her compositions explore complex pattern and colour balance. The result is vividly captured subject matter; from urban landscapes to allotments to still life.
