Kate MacGarry, founded in 2002 in East London, has expanded to represent 25 emerging and established artists - including two estates. The gallery is in East London at 27 Old Nichol Street, a space designed by British architect Tony Fretton.

Many of the artists had their first commercial solo exhibitions at the gallery and have gone on to achieve international success, helping shape the identity of the gallery over the past 23 years. In addition to a progressive exhibition schedule, the gallery’s artists have presented work and exhibitions at some of the world’s leading institutions including MoMA, Documenta, Venice Biennale, Tate, MCA Chicago, Prada Foundation, The Walker, Barbican, New Museum, Bourse de Commerce, Palais de Tokyo, Kunstverein Hamburg and Kettles Yard amongst many others.
