Lindsey Tyson

Bold, spontaneous and expressive, Lindsey's art is driven by process and experimentation. Working intuitively, she constantly explores the combination of materials and concepts.

Her current body of work combines numerous media; encaustic wax, paint (acrylic, watercolour and oil), ink, graphite, charcoal, pigments and transfer printing, and a self-imposed challenge, defying probabilities, is to seek results that are calm and intriguing – employing a diverse palette with grace and sophistication.

Lindsey is particularly inspired by what she defines as the ‘beauty in the mundane’; for example, cracked pavements and the ephemeral shapes, shadows, colours and marks within them, along with elemental landscapes.
