Red Dog

Stand: 214

This year at MCR red dog will be showing the work of Mark Houghton and Celia Johnson

red dog is an artist-led gallery based in Hereford, specialising in multi disciplinary, research led practice and installation. Founded by a lecturer from Hereford College of Arts, the gallery grew out of a commitment to contemporary practice and critical dialogue.

Named after an adopted lurcher who became the mascot of the gallery, red dog reflects a spirit of community, place and curiosity.

The gallery supports research-led practices and often explores themes rooted in materiality, spatial experience, archives and community. Through exhibitions, events, and collaborations, red dog fosters a generative space where making, participation, and thinking come together.
