red dog is an artist-led gallery that specialises in multi disciplinary, research led practice and installation. Founded by an artist and fine art lecturer, the gallery grew out of a commitment to contemporary practice and critical dialogue.
Named after an adopted lurcher who became the mascot of the gallery, red dog reflects and celebrates the importance of creativity and curiosity.
The gallery supports diverse research-led practices and often explores themes rooted in materiality, site, archives and memory. Through exhibitions, events, and collaborations, red dog fosters a generative space for showing exciting and explorative contemporary art.
