The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery

Stand: 203

We are a museum and art gallery in Rossendale. We are committed to caring for and sharing our eclectic collection via traditional and non-traditional methods. We work closely with visual artists who animate our collections in their commissions and exhibitions around the building. Our exhibition programme has a national profile, exhibiting local, national and international artists, with recent highlights including Jamie Holman, the British Textile Biennial, Wink Wink! (showcasing some of the best LGBTQ artists in the country), and Aideen Barry (Irish artist and lead artist for European Capital of Culture). We provide professional development for local artists, ensuring local arts groups and artists are supported to develop their careers and secure opportunities.
