White Conduit Projects
Stand: 114
In the heart of Islington’s bustling street market, White Conduit Projects has built an exhibition programme as distinctive as its setting. Founded in 2014 by Japanese gallerist Yuki Miyake, the gallery has presented at least 45 exhibitions. Miyake also works closely with Japanese institutions, the Embassy of Japan in the UK, and curators such as Paul Carey-Kent.
Japan is a recurring point of connection, though rarely a narrow one. The programme gives London audiences the opportunity to encounter Japanese artists who might otherwise be difficult to see locally, alongside exhibitions that explore Japan through unexpected materials, histories and ideas. Across a variety of media, the gallery presents innovative exhibitions.
The gallery does not represent artists, but has exhibited both emerging and established artists, including Ryan Gander, Hamish Fulton and Toko Shinoda.
