A selection of Mike Kelly’s work is currently on display in one of the cells at the women’s penitentiary at Lancaster Castle, as part of the “Rise Up! Lock Down!” exhibition. The show has been curated by textile artist James Fox and marks the bicentenary of the Lancashire Weavers uprising. Other artists taking part include Alan Ward, Sue Malvern, Maxine Peake and sound artist Scott Sadler who has created an audio piece to accompany Mike’s work.
