My Discovered Land emerged through loose, intuitive marks, gradually finding its shape through strong composition and contrasts of light and dark. Atmospheric perspective carries the eye towards the grey horizon, while pinks and flashes of yellow bring the foreground closer, a landscape discovered through the act of painting.
