Jackie White is a professional contemporary artist specialising in semi-abstract landscape painting. Born into an artistic family, she studied Fine Art Illustration at Birmingham College of Art and Design and taught art for more than 30 years before becoming a full-time artist. The Staffordshire Moorlands provide her with an endless source of inspiration. Her work uses watercolour, acrylic, oil and mixed media to explore changing weather, seasons and atmosphere, often moving towards abstraction while retaining a powerful sense of place.

Jackie was a heat finalist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2016. She won the Mail Box Art Prize at the 2017 Macclesfield Open for Bosley Cloud and Best in Show at the 2019 Staffordshire Moorlands Open for Out of the Woods. Her teaching is lively, friendly and informative. More than three decades of experience enable her to support complete beginners while also encouraging established artists to loosen their approach and take creative risks.
