Curated Art Collection

One of our past speakers, Gemma Rolls Bentley curated the new collection for Mollie’s Manchester. The collection, which she has called ‘From the North’ after Granada TV’s tag line, celebrates the unique spirit, the history of urban resilience and the wild landscapes of the North of England.

As a northerner herself, Gemma has immersed herself in the Manchester art scene to source an exciting mix of work which puts international artists and the city’s key players alongside emerging local talent and rising stars. Combining commissioned pieces with new discoveries, she has built a cohesive collection with meaningful stories that responds to the building’s history and the city’s creative, sporting and cultural legacies.

The collection includes over 40 artists, including David Hoyle, Lubaina Himid, Lulu Bennett, Sarah Joy Ford, Louise Giovanelli and Horace Lindezey.
